The Bicycle (Japanese: 自転車 Jitensha) is a key item that appears in the Yo-kai Watch games. It allows the player to move around slightly faster without using Staminum on foot, to get around areas easier.
Overview[]
When riding on a bicycle, the player moves at a faster speed than usual which reduces the hassle of using up stamina. From Yo-kai Watch 2, the player can ride faster on the bicycle by pressing the B button which still uses stamina up except that the player doesn't completely slow down if it runs out. The bicycle can only be used outside, and is automatically disabled if the player reaches a staircase.
In the Yo-kai Watch video game, the bicycle is obtained at the end of What Dad Forgot, given as a gift from Nate or Katie's father. But in Yo-kai Watch 2, it is obtained much earlier in the game as part of a Key Request.
As there are two playable characters in Yo-kai Watch 3, the bicycle must be unlocked differently on both sides.
In Yo-kai Watch 4, there are a total of six bicycles that must be unlocked and obtained individually for each playable Watcher, at specific locations.
Customization[]
The player is given the choice between 5 bicycle color schemes, and is able to switch between the colors for a fee at the bike shop in Blossom Heights. The player can also pay a fee to change the bell sound. After obtaining the bicycle, bike race quests will become available which unlock new bikes and bells at the bike shop upon completion.
