Blazion is a lion Yo-kai that has a white scar on his forehead. His mane and eyebrows are burning flame and his fur is orange. He has large hands and forearms with red spirals on them. He wears a grey-black martial artist robe. He is short but his mane is about half his height.
In EP097, it is shown that his mane can be detachable.
Personality[]
Blazion is almost always seen as very bold and motivated, while he's active as well. He firmly believes that hard work is something to be proud of, and it makes people feel better.
He almost always speaks only in one sentence, which is either "Blaze!" in the video games, or makes lion-like exclamations in the anime series. In the Japanese version, he says "mera!" (メラ!) that applies to all of the adaptations. During Hapyon Detective Agency vs. Carl SanFantastico: The Red Treasure in the Yo-kai Watch anime series, Blazion can talk normally without his mane, allowing more control of his vocabulary.
When Blazion first met Lie-in Heart, he seemed to be annoyed by his laziness. After Lie-in Heart convinced Blazion that Bear needed more time and that making him do it now would make him worse, Blazion seemed touched by it and seemed to agree with Lie-in Heart's logic.
Blazion can be found near trash and under cars in the Excellent Expressway.
Yo-kai Watch Blasters[]
Blazion can be befriended during Breezy Hills Patrol. As well, he is one of the Yo-kai that can be befriended during the Bottom-of-the-Barrel Blasters mission. Finally, he can be found as the first prize in the Hunt for Gargaros Begins! mission if at least one member is using Red Cat Corps version.
Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble[]
Blazion appears in stage 171, 136, 205, 217, 275, hidden stage 2 on Mount Wildwood, secret stage 8-9 on Hooligan Road, secret stage 10-22 and 15-85 in the Infinite Inferno, secret stage 17-13, 19-4 and 21-24 in the Divine Paradise, stage 32 in Ultra Mystery Way and stage 28 in Super Terror Time.

Etymology[]
"Merameraion" is a combination of mera mera (メラメラ. Japanese onomatopoeia for "burning flames) and the Japanese word for lion ライオンRaion . It could also be a wordplay on the name of the Merlion in Singapore.
"Blazion" is a portmanteau of blaze (or blazing) and lion.
"Flamileón" is a combination of flama ("flame") and león ("lion").
"Leodrio" is most likely a combination of "Leo" (both a first name and Latin for lion) and "Holdrio" (either an old exclamation of joy or a light-hearted person).
"Leofuoco" is a combination of "leone" (lion) and "fuoco" (fire).
Trivia[]
Both Blazion and Noway were the first two characters that were auditioned by Brent Pendergrass.
During localization, Blazion was originally called "Gusto"[1]. It would be reused for the localized name of Nekomata.
Blazion's "random" nicknames in Yo-kai Watch 2 are Blazan, Zamba, Liferno, and King.
Blazion is capable of normal speech in the localised versions of Yo-kai Watch however this was changed in Yo-kai Watch 2 and onward where he can only say 'blaze' and the translation would be put in brackets.
