Cupistol is a cupid-like Yo-kai that hovers around. Cupistol's body is mostly egg-shaped, and has two arms, a swirl of pink hair that appears to be grasping its halo, and a leg-like appendage with two wings on it, above its outfit. Cupistol's left hand is morphed into a pink "pistol" (it more closely resembles a revolver) that it shoots hearts from. This Yo-kai is also male, even though he looks very feminine.
In the game, the Cupistol playing the piano in the school during the summer festival is shown to be annoyed by critics, and wants an audience of adoring ladies. He is saddened when you have to leave.
Anyone Cupistol shoots with his "pistol" will love you.
While playing through the main story, he is one of the school myths that you hear of from your friends. He captures Eddie to be one of the spectators, hoping he would like the music.
Like in Yo-kai Watch 1, Cupistol appears on the 4th and 13th floors of the Springdale Business Tower, which must be unlocked by summoning Illoo to the Baffle Board outside the tower. He can also be found in Gourd Pond Museum at night and under 5000m in the Infinite Tunnel.
Another way to find Cupistol is in the 1st and 2nd Quiz Rooms behind the 40 Gate Globe Gate of Whimsy. He always appears in the top middle tree in the 2nd Quiz Room. He also can appear in regular Gates of Whimsy.
Lastly, he can also be randomly encountered on the train on a team with Snaggly at level 13.
"Cupistol" is a portmanteau of the words Cupid and pistol.
Trivia[]
In an early Japanese trailer for the Yo-kai Watch anime series, Cupistol was seen as one of the Yo-kai but he never appeared in the series at all, nor in the successors until MN091, about 10 years after the trailer was uploaded.
