Etymology

  • "Furgus" combines the name "Fergus" and "fur".
  • "Peluco" is a corruption of "Peluca" (Wig).

Origin

Furgus is based on the youkai Keukegen (also his Japanese name), meaning "hairy, fluffy sight" or "strange and suspicious thing" depending on how it's written: a living mass of hair the size of a dog that will appear from beneath the floorboards when no one is around, and prefers dark, damp places. It is said that those who live in a house inhabited by a keukegen will suffer from weakness and poor health.

Trivia

  • It's random nicknames are: Fuzzball, Blake, Robin, and Moptop.
