Taronyan (Japanese: モモタロニャン Momotaronyan) is a Rank A Fire-attribute Rare Yo-kai of the Brave tribe.
Biology
A cat Yo-kai inspired by Momotarō, a Japanese fairytale. The cat is peach-pink with a pale pink-white muzzle, chest, and paw tips. Its inner ear, tail flames, and sphere attached to the collar are light blue. It has black hair worn in a top knot with two tufts of bangs hanging loose over a white headband depicting a peach on it. It wears a red and goldenrod jacket and teal pants over its gold belt. On its back is a banner that reads Nippon ichi (日本一, "number one in Japan").

Etymology
"Momotarōnyan" is a combination of "Momotarō" and "-nyan".
"Taronyan" is merely his Japanese name shortened.
Origin
He is based on Momotarō, protagonist of the eponymous fairytale.
Trivia
- In Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, when Pheasanyan is befriended, he says "Momotaronyan", even though his name was changed in localization.
- The French and English name use half of the name "Momotaro". The french name use "Momo" while the English name uses "Taro" with both names using "nyan" respectively.
